From the Child Within to the Adult We Are
A Bodynamic Journey Through Needs and Autonomy
February 25 – June 10, 2027

A four-evening experiential workshop with Ditte Marcher exploring two essential developmental themes in Bodynamic psychotherapy: Needs and Autonomy. Through muscle exercises, movement, demonstrations and guided personal exploration, we investigate how early experiences continue to influence our bodies, emotions and relationships — and how the resources of the adult we are today can build a different relationship with the child we once were.
Why This Training Stands Out
- Bodynamic muscle exercises and movement to explore developmental experiences and psychological resources
- Demonstrations and guided experiential work connecting theory with personal experience
- Personal reflection to recognize patterns that may continue into adult life
- Meaningful conversations in a respectful, supportive environment
Who It's For
Why Work with the Body?
As children, we discover the world through our bodies. We reach out when we need contact. We move toward what interests us. We explore, experiment, and discover our possibilities through movement.
In Bodynamic psychotherapy, muscular and psychological development are understood as closely connected. Through movement and muscle exercises, we will explore how early developmental experiences may be reflected in our bodily responses and how new experiences can support greater awareness and choice.
We may discover different ways of reaching out, receiving support, following our impulses, and allowing others to help us without losing our own initiative.
This is not simply a workshop about understanding childhood. It is an invitation to discover new possibilities for our adult lives.
Bodynamic Supervision Hours
This workshop offers Bodynamic students and practitioners an opportunity to deepen their professional understanding of Needs, Autonomy, and developmental resources.
Proposed credit: 1 Bodynamic supervision hour toward applicable Bodynamic training requirements. Recognition is subject to confirmation by Bodynamic International.
The Heart of the Workshop
We cannot change what happened to the child we once were. But we can change how we understand, support, and relate to that child from the adult we are today.
We can learn to reach out and receive support. We can rediscover impulses that may have been forgotten. We can reconnect with our curiosity, creativity, and possibilities. And we can discover that asking for help does not mean losing ourselves.
The child we once were is part of our story. The adult we are today has the possibility to create what comes next.
